	After so many wet weekends, the weather shone for the workshop and the participants were able to sit outside to learn the art of pastels. The morning began with a chat and a drink before Brenda took the class through the skills necessary to produce a still life painting. After a break for some lunch it was then onto a landscape. It was a relaxed atmosphere and some excellent scenes were produced. We learned to shade and blend, highlight and shadow. Altogether a most rewarding time. Thanks to Brenda for her expertise and patience.
